A. Issue
Paul Hackbarth, Camp Bar, has applied for a special event permit and temporary extension of licensed premises for a Packer Viewing Party to be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
Common Council approval is necessary because the special event requires a temporary extension of licensed premise (liquor license).
B. Event Details
Camp Bar is requesting a special event permit and temporary extension of licensed premise to host their annual outdoor Packer viewing party. The event will be held on 66th Street between North Avenue and the alley behind Camp Bar.
Camp Bar intends to set up an outdoor jumbotron and audio system to display the Packer game. Food trucks will be present at the event. The event will begin at 1:00 PM. Event set up will begin at 12:00 PM, and tear down will take place at the conclusion of the game - approximately 7:00 PM.
C. Department Reviews/Fees
• Police Department: Prior incidents in/around this location were of a normal rate for this type of establishment. No egregious issues or complaints stand out. Police Department is in approval.
• Fire Department: No issues.
• Public Works: See attached for more information. $132 total fee.
• Health Department: An inspector will be assigned for food safety regulations. No further information is needed.
• City Attorney: No issues with the Certificate of Insurance (COI).
