Resolution approving a multi-year agreement with Vaisala Inc. to join a regional winter weather pavement sensor network in the Greater Milwaukee Area

WHEREAS, Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust, Inc. has partnered with Vaisala Inc. to establish a regional winter weather pavement sensor network in the Greater Milwaukee Area; and
WHEREAS, the network will provide real-time roadway surface temperature and pavement condition data to support roadway deicing strategies and regional data sharing; and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement requires a three-year subscription commitment for two pavement sensors at a total cost of $9,600, to be paid from the Storm Sewer General Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin that City staff are hereby authorized to execute a multi-year agreement with Vaisala Inc. for the City to join the regional winter weather pavement sensor network in the Greater Milwaukee Area.
