Resolution approving a contract modification for Contract 25-01, Wisconsin Avenue & 70th Street Improvements, in the amount of $691,778.47

WHEREAS, Contract 25-01 for Wisconsin Avenue & 70th Street Improvements was previously awarded in the amount of $4,497,094.69; and
WHEREAS, a contract modification has been prepared for additional traffic signal, roadway, and storm sewer improvements at the intersection of 76th Street and Wisconsin Avenue, and for traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Glenview Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue; and
WHEREAS, WisDOT agreed to contribute $330,000.00 toward the traffic signal improvements at both intersections; and
WHEREAS, funding for this contract modification is included in Project 1025; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works recommends approval of the contract modification in the amount of $691,778.47.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to approve and execute a contract modification for Contract 25-01, Wisconsin Avenue & 70th Street Improvements, in the amount of $691,778.47.
