Resolution approving a Level III fund transfer to cover the excess cost of tax assessment litigation counsel for 2025 in the amount of $35,297.00

WHEREAS, the City Attorney’s Office budgets annually for outside counsel related to litigation matters, including tax assessment litigation; and
WHEREAS, litigation expenses for 2025 exceeded the budgeted amount by $35,297; and
WHEREAS, sufficient salary savings exist within the City Attorney’s Office due to vacancies to cover this overage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that a Level III fund transfer in the amount of $35,297 is hereby approved from City Attorney salary savings to the appropriate litigation expense account to cover excess tax assessment litigation counsel costs for 2025.
