A. 2025 budget
• Approved on 11/19/2024
• One FF position unfunded pending additional revenues
• Will adjust daily overtime process/flex staffing levels as needed
B. Union contract status
• Request for interest arbitration has been filed
• Two sets of final offers have been exchanged
C. Intern program
• 11 current interns
• Seven meet minimum hiring requirements
• Open application process to fill vacancies as needed
D. Upcoming FF hiring process
• Currently 3 vacancies; anticipating 6 by January, likely hiring 4

E. Modification of FF job description related to paramedic status
• Working with HR to make paramedic an essential job function
• Goal is to keep paramedic status active if hired as one or if we provide the training
• Hoping to have modified job description and process in Jan/Feb 2025
