A. Issue
Consideration of award of Contract 26-07 / Project 1026, 2026 Street & Utility Improvements, to Globe Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $2,007,727.00. Project limits include Perry Court, Laurel Court, and Maple Terrace from 76th Street to 75th Street.
B. Background/Options
The project consists of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, asphalt repaving and reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter replacement, ADA curb ramps and street lighting improvements within the project limits. Project limits include Perry Court, Laurel Court, and Maple Terrace from 76th Street to 75th Street. The work is planned for the 2026 construction season.
We have examined the three (3) bids submitted for 26-07 / Project 1026, 2026 Street & Utility Improvements on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The bids received are as follows:
Globe Contractors, Inc. $2,007,727.00
Mid City Corporation $2,208,909.55
LaLonde Contractors Inc. $2,423,230.06

Project 1026 is included in the approved 2026-2030 Capital Budget.
E. Recommendation
Staff recommends the award be made to Globe Contractors, Inc. and for their bid price of $2,007,727.00, this being the lowest and best bid.
