A. Issue
The completion of various projects along Wisconsin Avenue necessitates parking prohibitions
B. Background/Options
In July of 2024, the Common Council passed an ordinance to prohibit parking on the south side of Wisconsin Avenue from Glenview Avenue to 68th Street (O-24-27). The prohibitions were made to accommodate the striping of bicycle lanes along Wisconsin Avenue upon completion of the Wisconsin Avenue bridge over Honey Creek, and to accommodate pavement restoration for utility work from 68th Street to 72nd Street.

* To accommodate the turn lanes at Wisconsin Avenue & Glenview Avenue, it is recommended to prohibit parking at any time on the south side of Wisconsin Avenue from Glenview Avenue to 150-feet west thereof, the north side of Wisconsin Avenue from Robertson Street to 190-feet east of Glenview Avenue.
* To accommodate the turn lanes at Wisconsin Avenue & 68th Street, it is recommended to prohibit parking at any time on both sides of Wisconsin Avenue from 68th Street to 280-feet east thereof
