Issue
Inconsistencies exist between municipal code, signs, and/or property use.
Background/Options
The site of Vista Village was previously occupied by a church and a school. As such, school day parking restrictions are no longer necessary along the north side of Harwood Avenue abutting Vista Village.
While reviewing the municipal code, staff identified inconsistencies between the code and street signs along the south side of Harwood across from Vista Village as well.
The following parking changes to the municipal code are recommended along the north side of Harwood Avenue.

“Bus Stop No Parking” at northeast corner of Wauwatosa & Harwood
Add to municipal code “(a) from Wauwatosa Avenue to 188 feet east thereof.” With a turn lane here, no one should be parking within 188-feet of Wauwatosa Avenue regardless of the bus stop.
(h) from a point 185 feet west of Lincoln Place to a point 215 feet west of Lincoln Place
Signs were removed with the Vista Village construction.
Remove language from municipal code, which will result in no parking restriction
