Resolution authorizing the replacement of yield control with stop control on the Blanchard Street eastbound approach to 70th Street

WHEREAS, the City of Wauwatosa has adopted a policy that follows national standards related to the installation of yield and stop signs and staff received a request to evaluate traffic control on the Blanchard Street eastbound approach to 70th Street; and
WHEREAS, staff analyzed the intersection and determined that restricted visibility and the configuration of the intersection require road users to stop in order to adequately observe conflicting traffic; and
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa, THAT the Official Stop Sign Map under Section 11.16.025 of the Code of the City of Wauwatosa is hereby amended to replace yield control with stop control on the Blanchard Street eastbound approach to 70th Street.
