A. Issue
Our current list of prequalified vendors utilized by various City Departments to perform minor and/or emergency repairs for general construction, painting and and/or maintenance has expired as of January 31, 2026.
B. Background/Options
The Purchasing Department has requested updated prequalification statements from qualified contractors to be retained for a three-year period beginning February 1, 2026 through February 28, 2028.
A copy of the proposed fee schedules from the responding contractors is attached for your review.
The Purchasing Policy gives departments the ability to utilize any pre-qualified vendor for projects up to $25,000 without having to seek additional quotes.

E. Recommendation
It is the recommendation of the purchasing department to retain those contractors responding for a period of three years to be utilized by the City on an as needed basis, subject to price and availability, as well as the ability to add additional vendors requesting prequalification who have provided the required documentation during the period ending 2/28/2028.
