A.                     Issue

Consideration of award of Contract 26-10 Hart Park Restroom / Project 8037, Hart Park Restroom to Mid City Corporation in the amount of $317,133.00.  The restroom is located south of State Street at N. 74th Street extended within Hart Park. 

 

B.                     Background/Options 

The project consists of the installation of a prefabricated restroom building and associated site amenities. The work is planned for the 2026 construction season.  

We have examined the two (2) bids submitted for 26-10 / Project 8037, Hart Park Restroom on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.  The bids received are as follows:

 

Mid City Corporation                                                               $317,133.00

Pablocki Paving Corporation                                          $452,138.40

 

C.                     Strategic Plan (Area of Focus)

Priority 3: Infrastructure, Goal 1 - Optimize infrastructure to handle 100-year storm events.

 

D.                     Fiscal Impact

Project 8037 is included in the approved 2026-2030 Capital Budget.

 

E.                     Recommendation

Staff recommends the award be made to Mid City Corporation and for their bid price of $317,133.00, this being the lowest and best bid.
