A. Issue
The applicant has requested to encroach within City right-of-way with a sign for the proposed North 48th commercial business currently under construction at 7603 W. State Street.
B. Background/Options
According to the attached documents, the right-of-way line at 7603 W. State Street is at the building face. The proposed sign will be attached to the building and project 48 inches into the right-of-way. The bottom of the sign will be located 100 inches (8.33 feet) above the sidewalk surface. Per City Code 12.08, at least 8 feet must be provided for sidewalk clearance. An encroachment agreement must be fully executed prior to Final Building Occupancy issuance.
