Resolution authorizing a fund transfer in the amount of $100,000 from Reserve for Contingencies to the HR Legal Services account for 2026 employment and labor legal expenses

WHEREAS, Human Resources has incurred higher than anticipated legal expenses in 2026 associated with Fire labor arbitration, defense of pending employment claims, and upcoming Police collective bargaining negotiations; and
WHEREAS, these costs have created a shortfall in the HR Legal Services budget for 2026.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that a fund transfer in the amount of $100,000 from the Reserve for Contingencies to the HR Legal Services account is hereby approved for 2026 employment and labor legal expenses.
