Resolution approving the execution of an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement (ICA) with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) for the Martha Washington/Washington Highlands sanitary sewer project

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has recommended entering into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District for the Martha Washington/Washington Highlands sanitary sewer project; and
WHEREAS, the project includes rehabilitation of segments of the metropolitan interceptor sewer, replacement of a segment of City sanitary sewer in West Garfield Avenue, and minor improvements and replacements to City-owned utilities requested by the City; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement establishes responsibilities for design, construction, long-term maintenance, and cost sharing between the City and MMSD.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to enter into the proposed Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District for the Martha Washington/Washington Highlands sanitary sewer project.
