Resolution awarding of Contract 26-07, Project 1026, 2026 Street & Utility Improvements to Globe Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $2,007,727.00

WHEREAS, the City solicited bids for Contract 26-07, Project 1026, 2026 Street & Utility Improvements for work within Perry Court, Laurel Court, and Maple Terrace from 76th Street to 75th Street; and
WHEREAS, the project includes sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, asphalt reconstruction and repaving, curb and gutter replacement, ADA curb ramp installation, and street lighting improvements planned for the 2026 construction season; and
WHEREAS, three bids were received and opened on February 11, 2026, as follows:
• Globe Contractors, Inc. - $2,007,727.00
• Mid City Corporation - $2,208,909.55
• LaLonde Contractors Inc. - $2,423,230.06; and
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by Globe Contractors, Inc. is the lowest and best bid and the project is included in the adopted 2026-2030 Capital Budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that Contract 26-07 / Project 1026 is hereby awarded to Globe Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $2,007,727.00.
