Resolution enacting the recommendation of the Committee of the Whole related to payroll and contract adjustments following the annual performance evaluation of the City Administrator

WHEREAS, following an annual review by the Common Council sitting as the Committee of the Whole, the performance of the City Administrator, James Archambo, has been determined to exceed expectations; and
WHEREAS, the Committee of the Whole has determined that it is appropriate to update the employment contract of the City Administrator to reflect the revised scope of his employment and compensation package;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Committee of the Whole has determined that the City Administrator is eligible for his contractual one-time bonus based on his 2024 performance;
WHEREAS, the Committee of the Whole has determined that the City Administrator’s employment contract is to be adjusted effective for the period January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2029, to reflect that annual salary will be $215,000, with changes which will include elimination of the current Car Allowance, cost of living adjustment to match non-represented employees each year, plus an additional 1.5% adjustment, and continuation of current deferred compensation and annual performance bonus terms;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to enter into a revised employment agreement with the City Administrator, consistent with the terms recommended by the Committee of the Whole and approved by this resolution.
