A. Issue
Country Fresh Farms has applied for a Street Vendor permit to sell frozen meat in the Lowe’s parking lot at 12000 W. Burleigh Street between May 20-24, 2026.
Requirements for Street Vendors are outlined in Chapter 6.50 of the Wauwatosa Municipal Code. Street Vendor permits require Board of Public Works review and approval. Application materials, including an application form, map, and certificate of insurance, are attached to this file.
The applicant intends to store the meat in a 26’ freezer truck, and set up a 10’ x 10’ pop-up canopy tent where sales will be conducted. The truck and tent will utilize six total parking spaces.
B. Department Review
The application was routed to the City’s Engineering Division and Police Department for review. Comments are outlined below.
Engineering: The proposed location does not impact any designated handicap parking spaces or negatively impact parking lot circulation. No objections to the request.
Police: No concerns.
C. Recommendation
I recommend the Board of Public Works approve the application by Country Fresh Farms for a Street Vendor permit for the sale of frozen meat at 12000 W. Burleigh Street between May 20-24, 2026.
