A. Issue
Axolotl Café II LLC, d/b/a Urban Café, has applied for a new Class “B” Beer and Reserve “Class B” Liquor license for the premises located at 1413 N. 60th Street for the 2026-2027 licensing period.
B. Background/Options
Axolotl Café II LLC, d/b/a Urban Café, is moving into the space previously occupied by the Highlands Café and applying for an alcohol license. Urban Café will be a new café/restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. Additional information about the establishment is included in the agenda packet.
A background check was conducted on the Agent, Keila Chavarria-Torres, and no violations substantially related to licensing activities were found. The agent meets all other qualifications of Wis. Stat. Ch. 125.

D. Recommendation
I recommend the Common Council grant a new Class “B” Beer and Reserve “Class B” Liquor license to Axolotl Café II LLC, d/b/a Urban Café, 1413 N. 60th Street, Keila Chavarria-Torres - Agent, for the period ending June 30, 2027.
