A.                     Issue

Existing posted parking regulations on 114^th Street are inconsistent with existing ordinance

B.                     Background/Options 

Wauwatosa Municipal Code 11.32.080 currently restricts parking along the east side of 114^th Street as follows:

•                     No parking for more than two hours between nine a.m. and six p.m., except on Sundays and legal holidays, from 26 feet north of W. Blue Mound Road to the south lot line of 456 N. 114th Street

•                     No parking between eight a.m. and six p.m., except on Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, from the south lot line of 526 N. 114^th Street to West Wisconsin Avenue.

The parking restriction outlined in the second bullet was observed during a recent field visit to start at the south lot line of 456 N. 114^th and not the south lot line of 526 N. 114^th Street.  The south lot line of 456 N. 114^th Street is the interface between commercial properties to the south and single-family dwellings to the north. It is recommended to keep signs as they are currently posted and revise the ordinance language to match.
