A.                     Issue

Consideration of award of Contract 26-26 / Project 6626, Fire Stations Pavement Replacement to Poblocki Paving Corporation in the amount of $457,360.00.

B.                     Background/Options

The project consists of asphalt pavement and concrete pavement reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter replacement, ADA curb ramps and storm sewer improvements within the project limits.  Project limits include the parking lots at Fire Stations 51 and 53. The work is planned for the 2026 construction season.

We have examined the three (3) bids submitted for Contract 26-26 / Project 6626, Fire Stations Pavement Replacement on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.  The bids received are as follows:

Poblocki Paving Corporation                                          $457,360.00

Cornerstone Pavers, LLC                                          $462,345.85

LaLonde Contractors Inc.                                          $651,462.25

C.                     Strategic Plan (Area of Focus)

Priority 3: Infrastructure

D.                     Fiscal Impact

Project 6626 is included in the approved 2026-2030 Capital Budget. The current available CIP budget for this 2026 project is $348,644.79 and would require a level three (III) fund transfer of $154,450 from CIP project 1026 for the excess funds required for construction management staff time and for award of this project.

E.                     Recommendation

Staff recommends the award be made to Poblocki Paving Corporation and for their bid price of $457,360.00, this being the lowest and best bid, and the approval of the required level three (III) fund transfer of $154,450 from CIP project 1026 for the excess funds required for construction management staff time and for award of this project.
