A. Issue
Our current list of prequalified vendors utilized by various City Departments to perform minor and or emergency repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC and elevator maintenance, not to exceed $25,000 will expire effective January 31, 2024.
B. Background/Options
The Purchasing Department has requested updated prequalification statements from qualified contractors for these disciplines to be retained for a three-year period beginning February 2024 through December 31, 2026.
Copies of the proposed fee schedules from the responding contractors are attached for your review. It should be noted that each of the responding contractors has included the fully executed City of Wauwatosa General Terms and Conditions document, insurance and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certifications when applicable.

E. Recommendation
It is the recommendation of the purchasing department to retain these responding contractors for a period of three years to be utilized by the City on an as needed, price and availability basis, as well as the ability to add additional vendors requesting prequalification and have provided the required documentation during the period ending 12/31/26.
Also recommended, as an incentive to utilize our DBE vendor base, is to allow the $25,000 threshold to be increased to $30,000 if the department requesting the various services utilize the certified DBE prequalified vendor.
