A. Issue
A resident requested revising the parking restrictions on the 2300 block of Pasadena Boulevard, from the alley north of North Avenue to Meinecke Avenue. Existing signs conflict with the current parking ordinance on the 2400 block of Pasadena Boulevard, from Meinecke Avenue to Wright Street.
B. Background/Options
Parking is currently prohibited by City ordinance for more than 2 hours between 9 am and 10 pm on both sides of Pasadena Boulevard from the alley north of North Avenue to Wright Street. However, parking signs currently indicate that the 2-hour parking restrictions on Pasadena Boulevard end at 6 pm north of Meinecke Ave and at 10 pm south of Meinecke Ave. Parking is not permitted at any time on either side of Pasadena Boulevard between North Avenue and the alley north thereof.
North-south streets on either side of Pasadena Boulevard also have 2-hour parking restrictions between the alley north of North Avenue and Meinecke Avenue: on 86th Street (one block to the east) 2-hour parking restrictions end at 10 pm and on 88th Street (one block to the west) 2-hour parking restrictions end at 6 pm. There are no parking restrictions on 86th Street or 88th Street between Meinecke Avenue and Wright Street.
A resident has requested that the end time of the 2-hour parking restrictions on the 2300 block of Pasadena Boulevard, from the alley north of North Avenue to Meinecke Avenue, be changed from 10 pm to 6 pm.
