Issue:
Should the City ratify the tentative agreement with the Wauwatosa Peace Officers Association?
Background:
Over the last several years, the City’s bargaining team and the leadership from the WPOA met to negotiate the framework for an agreement that now ultimately spans from 2022 through 2025. There were a number of permissive and mandatory subjects at question, along with two tentative agreements. The process was governed by Wis. Stat. §111.70 Municipal employment <https://casetext.com/statute/wisconsin-statutes/regulation-of-industry/chapter-111-employment-relations/subchapter-iv-municipal-employment-relations/section-11170-municipal-employment> and Wis. Stat. §111.77 Settlement of disputes <https://casetext.com/statute/wisconsin-statutes/regulation-of-industry/chapter-111-employment-relations/subchapter-iv-municipal-employment-relations/section-11177-settlement-of-disputes?>.
