AT&T is requesting overnight work hours related to work being performed to relocate facilities prior to the North Avenue Reconstruction project (1107) between Mayfair Road and Met-to-wee Lane.  This work involves the relocation of facilities to clear them from conflict with the project.  This work is time critical.

AT&T was unable to complete this work prior to construction.   This work will complete the movement of traffic on the fiber network from the existing facilities to the new facilities.  The following locations are being requested in order to complete the transition to the new fiber:

N Met-To-Wee ln & W North Av

N 100 St & W North Av

N 102nd St & W North Av

Alley R 10125 W North Av

N 104th St & W North Av

N 105th St & W North Av

Lane east of Mayfair Rd  & W North Av

AT&T is looking to set up in the manholes for approximately 15 nights to complete the cable cut overs, and 3 additional nights to remove the cables from the conduit system to clear the path for the road grading.  AT&T would like to start as soon as we would be allowed to.  Our goal is to get the cables spliced and out of conflict as soon as possible once the traffic control and permit extension are approved.

Staff recommends granting AT&T's request for overnight work in these locations to take place between 9:00pm and 5:00am to complete the work listed above.  Staff recommends work proceeding as soon as AT&T has fulfilled conditions placed by the board for overnight work, staff has approved the traffic control plan, and staff issued an amended permit to AT&T for this work.
