Resolution approving a Level III fund transfer for the Fire Station Roof Replacement & Solar Array Project in an amount not to exceed $175,000

WHEREAS, the adopted 2026 Capital Improvement Budget includes replacement of roofing at Fire Stations 51 and 53 and installation of solar arrays at all Fire Stations, the Fire Training Center, and the Hart Park Administration building (Project #6639); and
WHEREAS, the project anticipates approximately $175,000 in Federal reimbursement through the Clean Energy Investment Tax Credit program, representing approximately 30% of eligible solar array costs; and
WHEREAS, due to the federal reimbursement process, these funds will not be received until 2027, resulting in a temporary 2026 funding shortfall; and
WHEREAS, a Level III fund transfer is necessary to temporarily fund the project pending receipt of federal reimbursement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that a Level III fund transfer in an amount not to exceed $175,000 is hereby authorized to fund the Fire Station Roof Replacement and Solar Array Project in advance of receipt of federal reimbursement funds.
