Resolution approving a 2027 Budget Process Policy

WHEREAS, the Financial Affairs Committee has annually adopted a Budget Process Policy to set forth the principles and process for adoption of the City’s operating and capital budgets; and
WHEREAS, the budget process is an important decision-making function of elected officials; and
WHEREAS, a budget process policy helps define decision points and the roles of committees and staff to ensure a fair process and provide sufficient information and preparation time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that the 2027 Budget Process Policy is hereby approved in substantially the form presented to the Common Council.
