Resolution establishing Common Council compensation beginning in 2026

WHEREAS, the compensation for the Common Council, Mayor and Alderperson, is only periodically adjusted and may only be adjusted in advance of a succeeding term in office;
WHEREAS, the two most recent adjustments for an Aldermanic stipend were in 1982 and 2018 and with the referendum creating 12 aldermanic seats, the cumulative pay will go from 16 seats to 12;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that the pay for Alderperson and the Mayor and Common Council be adopted as more thoroughly outlined in the Government Affairs Committee Meeting of October 21, 2025.
