Resolution appointing John Myers to the position of Alderperson, District 6, term ending April 20, 2027

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Alderperson for the Sixth Aldermanic District; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council initiated the process for filling the vacancy by appointment pursuant to Section 2.04.020 of the Wauwatosa Municipal Code, pending a special election to be held in conjunction with the 2027 Spring Election for the remainder of the aldermanic term; and
WHEREAS, an Aldermanic Nomination Committee was established and conducted interviews of interested candidates on August 26, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Aldermanic Nomination Committee recommends appointment of John Myers to the position of Alderperson for the Sixth Aldermanic District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that John Myers is hereby appointed to the position of Alderperson for the Sixth Aldermanic District, with the term expiring April 20, 2027.
