Approval of Final Payment for Contract 25-11 / Project 1025, 2025 Alley Reconstruction

Milwaukee General Construction Co. has completed the work of the 2025 Alley Reconstruction project and work incidental thereto under Contract 25-11 / Project 1025. The work took place in the alley between Harvard Lane and Blue Mound Road, from N. 109th Street to N. 111th Street.
The final contract amount is $175,232.90 which is about 12% under the original contract award amount of $199,542.00. The biggest contributing factor to the final contract value being lower than the original bid amount was the alley work ultimately not requiring excavation below subgrade or additional seed/mulch. The final amount due the contractor is $4,188.05.
I hereby certify that the work on Contract 25-11 / Project 1025 was completed in a manner satisfactory to the City of Wauwatosa and recommend acceptance of the same by the Board of Public Works.
