Issue:  Award of Contract 23-78 / Project 3010, 2023 Sanitary Sewer Improvements

Background & Discussion:  This project is for sanitary lateral grouting and lining of sanitary sewer mains in order to reduce private property infiltration and inflow into the City sewers. This work will take place in the neighborhood generally bounded by the Menomonee River, N. 107^th St., W. Hampton Ave., and W. Capitol Dr.

We have examined the bids submitted for Contract 23-78 / Project 3010, 2023 Sanitary Sewer Improvements on Wednesday March 15, 2023.  The contract consists of chemical grouting of sanitary sewer laterals and lining of sanitary sewer mains. The bids received are as follows;

Visu-Sewer, Inc.:  $1,380,664.50

Strategic Plan:  Well maintained infrastructure. 

Fiscal Impact:  This project is part of an MMSD program to reduce private property infiltration and inflow, and the grouting work will be paid for with a funding agreement between the City and MMSD. 

Recommendations:                     We recommend the award be made to Visu-Sewer, Inc at and for their bid price of $1,380,664.50 this being the lowest and best bid.
