Homestead Steaks d/b/a Stampede Ranch has applied for a Street Vendor permit to sell prepackaged frozen meats in the northwest corner of the Mayfair Mall parking lot from May 22-26, 2026
Requirements for Street Vendors are outlined in Chapter 6.50 of the Wauwatosa Municipal Code. Street Vendor permits require Board of Public Works review and approval. Application materials, including an application form, map, and certificate of insurance, are attached to this file.
The applicant intends to store meat in a 26’ freezer truck and set up a 10’ x 10’ tent where sales will be conducted.
B. Department Review
The application was routed to the City Attorney, City’s Engineering Division and Police Department for review. Comments are outlined below.
City Attorney: No concerns.
Engineering: No concerns.
Police: No concerns.
C. Recommendation
I recommend the Board of Public Works approve the application by Homestead Steaks d/b/a Stampede Ranch for a Street Vendor permit for the sale of prepackaged frozen meats in the Mayfair Mall parking lot, 2500 N. Mayfair Road between May 22 - 26, 2026
