Resolution approving 2025 Operating Budget carryovers

WHEREAS, carryovers represent the transfer of spending authority from one fiscal year to the next for projects or commitments not completed within the original budget year; and
WHEREAS, departments submitted 2025 operating budget carryover requests for Finance Department review; and
WHEREAS, recommended carryovers reflect committed but unspent funds necessary to complete projects or fulfill obligations; and
WHEREAS, approving carryovers amends the 2026 Budget to reflect the associated expenditure authority and, for the General Fund, assigns fund balance accordingly;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that the 2026 Budget is hereby amended to reflect the 2025 Operating Budget carryovers as shown in Exhibit A, not to exceed the amounts listed and subject to final year-end reconciliation.
