Resolution awarding Contract 26-26 / Project 6626, Fire Stations Pavement Replacement, to Poblocki Paving Corporation in the amount of $457,360.00 and approving a Level III fund transfer in the amount of $154,450

WHEREAS, the City solicited bids for Contract 26-26 / Project 6626, Fire Stations Pavement Replacement for work at Fire Stations 51 and 53; and
WHEREAS, the project includes asphalt pavement and concrete pavement reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter replacement, ADA curb ramps, and storm sewer improvements planned for the 2026 construction season; and
WHEREAS, three bids were received and opened on July 15, 2026, as follows:
• Poblocki Paving Corporation - $457,360.00
• Cornerstone Pavers, LLC - $462,345.85
• LaLonde Contractors Inc. - $651,462.25; and
WHEREAS, Poblocki Paving Corporation submitted the lowest and best bid; and
WHEREAS, Project 6626 is included in the adopted 2026-2030 Capital Budget, but additional funding is required for construction management staff time and award of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Wauwatosa that Contract 26-26 / Project 6626, Fire Stations Pavement Replacement, is hereby awarded to Poblocki Paving Corporation in the amount of $457,360.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Level Three fund transfer of $125,000 from CIP Project 6626 and $29,450 from CIP Project 1026 is hereby approved for the excess funds required for construction management staff time and award of this project.
